Tim Kadlec, an esteemed flutist, was born in 1997 in Brno, Czech Republic. His musical education commenced at the Brno Conservatory, under the tutelage of Mgr. Božena Růžičková. Furthering his pursuit of musical excellence, Tim advanced his studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, guided by the renowned Prof. Radomír Pivoda.

Tim's fervent enthusiasm for chamber and orchestral music led him to perform internationally with the esteemed Moravian Woodwind Quintet, marking his presence in countries like France and Scotland. His solo career is equally illustrious, having performed with the PKF - Prague Philharmonia, Chamber Symphony Orchestra Brno, and offering solo recitals across South Moravia and Scotland.

His early career was distinguished by notable accolades, including the first prize at the 2017 Pedro Diaz International Competition in Puerto Rico, complemented by a significant residency with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra. He further consolidated his reputation by clinching the first prize at the 2017 Pardubice Winds Competition.

Dedicated to continuous improvement, Tim has participated in masterclasses with globally recognized musicians such as Emmanuel Pahud, Emily Beynon, Ulla Miilmann, Denise Bouriakov, and Robert Winn, among others. Orchestral music, being his core strength, led him to join the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra as an assistant in August 2019 and subsequently, the National Theatre Brno Orchestra in October of the same year.

In his current role with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Tim shines as the principal flutist. His discography includes notable recordings like "Danse de la Chevre" by A. Honegger and "Dialogues" by Jiří Dvořáček for Czech Radio. Beyond performing, Tim is the founder and leader of the Moravian Wind Quintet z.s., a non-profit dedicated to providing quality musical education to emerging talents. Since 2022, he has been at the helm of the "summer flute orchestral academy," which rigorously prepares students for orchestral auditions.

Presently, Tim is deepening his expertise through doctoral studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, consistently contributing to and nurturing the broader musical community through both performance and education.
